Restoration 2009 - Capital Campaign:
The Campaign seeks to raise funds for the following work on the cabin:
* Replacement and Extension of the Roof
* New Exterior Siding
* New Trim Work
* New Doors and Windows
* Masonry Repairs
In addition to the above work, the construction will also include adding a front porch to the cabin and the
acquisition and placement of a freestanding storage facility to house Troop gear and Park maintenance
equipment. Finally, several important safety and landscape improvements to the Park will be completed
including replacement of the front security gate.
The inside of the cabin is in many ways a time capsule which holds wonderful memories for scouts and
their families. Every effort will be taken to preserve the look and feel of the inside of the cabin. Prior to any
construction on the cabin, volunteers will inventory and note the location of all items prior to their removal
so that once the restoration is complete, the numerous plaques, awards, flags and equipment can be
returned to their original location.
The Campaign needs your help to raise $30,000. Thanks to the generous support of many donors, we
have raised over $28,000. Please help us meet our goal by contributing today.
